First day of the Warsaw meeting

EIYN is meeting in sunny Warsaw this weekend for an advocacy and mediation training designed for representatives of faith-based and interfaith organisations.

Begining last night with opening dinner and introduction, on Saturday morning the sessions started.

Being introduced to the Religions for Peace mission, structure and activities, the participants learned about recent “Arms Down!” campaign and just initiated campaign “Restoring Dignity: Religious Youth Say NO To Violence Against Women“.

The following sessions brought discussions and lectures on issues of migration, refugees and homeless people’s situation, challanges for multiculturalism.

To make the activities the most effective to address these issues, participants took part in workshops on advocacy: lobbying politicians and policy makers, mass media advocacy techniques and social media and legal tools in interfaith advocacy.
